June & July Classes at Unwind Yarn Shop

Allegro Simple Shell:  Intermediate Beginner.  This simple shell is knit in the round with no seaming required. 

You will learn gauge, three needle bind off and a simple crochet edge finish as well as an optional Channel Island cast-on.

Class meets Sat June 20^th from 3-5 and  June 27^th from 3-4:30 and July 18^th from 3-4:30 

Cost is $35 plus materials (pattern included).

Basic Knitted Project:  Beginner.  Has it been a while since you have picked up needles or are you tired of dish cloths and scarves?  This class is for you.  Pick a small project and we will help you learn the skills to complete it.  Class meets Sat July 18^th, 25^th and Aug 1^st from 1-2:30.
Cost is $35.

Beginning Knitting:  This class is for the true beginner.  We will learn to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and casting off.  The class meets 1-2:30 Sat. June 20th, 27th and July 11^th. 
Cost is $35 (materials included).

Confetti Felted Bag: Intermediate Beginner.  This bag is knit in the round with a wool and a confetti type yarn, and then felted.  A purchased handle is attached.  Minimum skills required. 
Class meets Sat. 3-4:30 July 25^th and Aug 1^st.

Crochet Baby Sweater 101:  Intermediate Beginner.  This basic sweater will help teach how to read a crochet pattern. 

The skills learned can be translated to an adult sized sweater. Basic stitches used are double crochet and decrease. 

The class meets Fri July 10, 17, 24, 31^st from 1-2:30.
Cost is $40 plus materials (pattern included).

Fingerless Cabled Mitts:  Intermediate.  This popular project makes great Christmas gifts for young and the not so young alike.  You will learn to use double point needles, how to cable, make a thumb, and a picot bind off. 
Class meets Thurs. July 16^th, 23^rd and 30^th from 3-4:30. 
Cost is $35 plus materials (pattern included).

Market Bag:  Intermediate Beginner.  Time to go Green.  This project will also make a great Christmas gift.  You will learn how to pick up stitches, knit in the round, yarnovers, and mid row cast on. 
Class meets Thurs June 25^th and July 9^th from 3-4:30.

Sensational Socks:  Intermediate level.  Must be comfortable with casting on and the knit and purl stitch.  In this 6 week class we will make a small “class” sock to learn the basic techniques of heel flaps, turning the heel, gussets and the kitchner stitch.  Then using the Sensational Sock book you will select a sock pattern and design a custom sock for yourself.  This class will have two sessions each week and you may come to either or both if you need to make up a session. 
Session 1 meets Thurs from 1-2:30 June 18^th, 25^th and July 9^th , 16^th , 23th , and 30^th.  

Session 2 meets Sat from 10:30-12 June 20^th, 27^th and July 11^th, 18^th, 25^th, and Aug 1^st. 

Cost is $55 plus materials (includes book).
